Why did we choose to raise rare Mulefoot hogs?...Two simple reasons:

1) The Mulefoot is the most critically endangered of the remaining heritage hog breeds in America. 6 of the 15 breeds of pigs raised in the United States on family farms in the 1930's are already extinct. Many Rocks Farm believes that the best way to save an endangered breed of agricultural livestock is to create a market for it!
